Dr. Katar developed the Painless Gastric Sleeve — an enhanced sleeve gastrectomy protocol incorporating paragastric block regional anaesthesia, a no-drain no-nasogastric tube approach where clinically appropriate, and an early mobilisation programme. This technique markedly reduces post-operative pain and nausea, shortens the hospital stay and improves the overall recovery experience for patients.
